HTC One M8

The newly released HTC One M8 was launched on the same day as its announcement press conference last month but most importantly it embodies both a strong build and a beautiful exterior.

The previous model has not even reached its one year birthday however HTC hopes to dethrone the iPhone 5s from the consumer top spot with their new smartphone. The M8 embodies a large 4.7 inch touch screen display, BoomSound™ technology to enhance music and bass from its forward facing speakers and 4G capabilities.

Unfortunately the same dated 4 megapixel camera is present from that of last year’s model in addition to mediocre battery life; however this is the norm for smartphones of today.

HTC has streamlined and innovated with its ‘motion launch’ techniques allowing you to take a locked phone directly into command with a simple swipe. Swiping down allows you to voice dial whilst up brings you to the home screen.

All in all the HTC One M8 is a beautiful and slick device which will sit comfortable in your palm while you wait for the next big thing.

Cheval Three Quays Marks Remembrance Day with a donation to the British Legion

Crowds gather to witness the nightly ceremony at the Tower of London. To mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, Cheval Three Quays has pledged to donate a week’s profits from two of its apartments facing the Tower of London to the Royal British Legion charitable fund. The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community – serving men and women, veterans and their families. Many of the building’s apartments face directly onto the 1,000 year-old castle, offering a unique perspective of the moving tribute taking place until the 11 th  November, as 10,000 flames are lit in the moat on a nightly basis. The installation, entitled ‘Beyond the Deepening Shadow: The Tower Remembers’, is intended to honour the sacrifice of the many who fell during the four-year conflict.
