The Tower Remembers 2018

Following the hugely successful ceramic poppy display in its moat in 2014, the Tower of London is marking the 100-year anniversary of the end of the First World War with a new installation.

Entitled ‘Beyond the Deepening Shadow: The Tower Remembers’, the display will be visible in the evenings from the esplanade between Cheval Three Quays and the Tower from Sunday the 4th of November to Sunday 11th November.

The display will evolve over a four-hour period as the moat is gradually illuminated by thousands of individual flames. This visual spectacle will be accompanied by a new choral tribute, with words from the war poet Mary Borden’s ‘Sonnets to a Soldier’.
Members of the public are welcome to visit the installation each night and to join in this public act of commemoration for one of the 20th century’s most devastating conflicts. There is no cost to visit the display, but we advise arriving early as the limited timeframe means it is likely to be a popular activity!
The display starts from 17.00 and will conclude at 21:00 every evening.

World's most expensive iPhone case is British

The most expensive iPhone case in the world is british. Actress Misha Barton was chosen to present the most expensive iPhone 5 case in the world, designed bu Uunique , a renowned brand from the UK. Reportedly named the London Lotus iPhone 5 case, it is made of 18 carat rose gold, and is encrusted with a multitude of rare pink and white diamonds.
