London by neighbourhood: Bars/Restaurants in Chelsea

The Collection's bar
Cheval Knighstbridge is in the Chelsea neighbourhood, in London.

There are good bars and restaurants all over London, but sometimes we just want to walk somewhere, close by... So, if you are in Chelsea and don't want to go far for a good night out, what do you do? Have a nice time in one of this selected bars in the area:

The Collection - the modern pick (and our pick!)
The Collection has been featured in many national newspapers and magazines due to its celebrity following and the fashion events it plays host to.
Everything is conceived to impress, with a raised glass catwalk entrance boasting international artworks leading to an exposed brick warehouse that was once the Katharine Hamnett Emporium, as designed by Sir Norman Foster. The restaurant at mezzanine level overlooks what's a vibrant bar. The Collection is available for private hire.

264 Brompton Road, SW3 2AS (South Kensington St.)
Monday - Sunday, from 05:00pm - 23:30pm. Reservations and info here

Anglesea Arms
Anglesea Arms - the London classic pick
The Anglesea Arms is found on Selwood Terrace in South Kensington, where Charles Dickens once resided at no. 11. The site was originally a market garden and nursery dating back to 1712. A beautiful traditional pub that feels older than it looks with warranted reputation for its excellent food and drink offering...

15 Selwood Terrace, SW7 3QG (South Kensington)
Monday - Sunday, from 11am - 11pm. Check their website for reservations and kitchen hours.

BBB
BBB - the original pick
Beach Blanket Babylon or BBB as its affectionately known was established in 1990. It occupies a prominent position in an old Georgian Mansion on Ledbury Road in the heart of Her Majesty's Royal enclave; Notting Hill. Famous for its unique interior design blending Boho Chic, French Country Style Chateau the Baroque and Rococo the High Maximalist feel never fails to inspire the un-initiated and is known the world over as a by word for opulence and glamour.
Whether having an intimate cocktail with friends or a Grand Banquet in the Ballroom fit for Kings & Queens, BBB epitomizes the very best of Cool Britannia in an environment of sheer unadulterated decadence! BBB is available for private hire.

45 Ledbury Road, W11 2AA (Notting Hill St.)
Monday - Sunday, from 5pm - 12am. Reservations and more info here.

Eclipse
Eclipse
The first thing you notice while walking in Eclipse is the smell of fresh watermelon and, sure enough, there are a bunch of them on the bar. Decorated in a modern, sexy, minimalist way with leather chairs and sofas, the prevailing colours are red and black.
A rather impressive large mirror adorns one of the walls and the futuristic, metal bathroom door is actually a pleasant visual feature. The space is divided into two rooms: the first one has the main bar, and the second has a DJ booth and lots of seats. Some might say it's too crowded but this is a positive point for others.

111 Walton Street, SW3 2HP (South Kensington St.)
Monday - Sunday, from 05:30pm - 1am. All you need to know here.

Jak's Bar - the cozy pick
Jak's bar (pic from here)
Jaks is comfortably nestled amidst the plush bars and furniture shops of Walton Street, its cosy interior providing a relaxing haven for Knightsbridge shoppers, not to mention respite from the swankier venues nearby. That is not to say Jaks isn’t sleek enough to fit in with its SW3 surroundings, as the neatly arranged tables and candlelight demonstrate.
Jaks offers healthy yet highly appealing dishes, the emphasis being on Mediterranean fare that is prepared using locally sourced ingredients. Colourful dishes of moussaka, dolmades, chickpea and quinoa salads and tabbouleh pose behind the glass counter. And they serve brunch!

77c Walton Street, SW3 2HT (South Kensington)
Monday - Sunday, from 7am - 12pm. Menu and contact here
