Rare whisky collection from The Dalmore created for Harrods

Image
Cheval Knightsbridge is just a few minutes from  +Harrods   Scottish distillery The Dalmore has partnered with Harrods to launch The Dalmore Paterson Collection, named after master distiller Richard Paterson who assessed, nosed, tasted and selected each whisky blend for the lot of a dozen bottles. The price tag for the world’s only collection of its kind? A cool £987,500.  Whiskies range in date from 1926 to the 1990s and make up a surprisingly personal collection linked to Paterson. Bottles are named after either important figures in Paterson’s life such as his father and grandfather, as well as James Whyte and Charles Mackay, the founders of The Dalmore’s parent company. Richard Paterson Bottles are handcrafted, full lead crystal decanters made by crystal house Glencairn, while luxury jeweler Hamilton & Inches hand-engraved the silver that embellishes the bottles. All 12 bottles are presented in a wooden case that took cabinet maker Gavin Ro...

Chanel’s New Mascara Vending Machine at Selfridges London

Image
Parisian cosmetics label Chanel is serving up mascara via innovative vending machines at Selfridges for a limited time only. Chanel famously first created ‘ human vending machines ‘ in 2012 at Fashion’s Night Out, but the luxury label has taken a robotic leap into the future with its latest project. London beauty fans are now able to get their hands on Chanel’s first volumizing mascara via automated vending machines at the Selfridges department store. The mascara is available in three shades: ‘Noir’, ‘Prune’ and ‘Bleu’, and the applicator features a unique ‘snowflake’ brush designed to lengthen and separate lashes as it coats them with quick-drying mascara for a volumizing effect. Until May 8, customers will be able to use the machines at the central London store, with eye makeovers supplied by Chanel’s beauty experts. Cheval Phoenix House is near Selfridges It may not look like but Spring is here. And even though we are all still in our winter coats, its impossible not to think about some spring shopping.  And as we suggested for Christmas , the Department stores are great for this season too. Department stores are a London specialty. You can find them all over the city, each one with what makes them unique. Not only they sell everything you need, from clothing, shoes and accessories, but they go all the way to caviar, furniture and toys, not forgetting jewelery and cosmetics . They also have their own bars, restaurants or cafés for that pause that a good day of shopping requires. And, of course, if you feel overwhelmed with all the options you can count on the services of a personal shopper to help you. +Fortnum & Mason   - For three centuries this jewel of London has been commited to bringing the world's best food to Piccadilly.
