Will.i.am launches i.am+ foto.sosho iPhone cases

Will.i.am has officially unveiled four "i.am" iPhone cases, designed to improve the apple smartphone's camera capabilities. The Black Eyed Peas frontman took to London's Selfridges department store to show off the "foto.sosho" range, with the press release claiming the device , which comes in several variants, to be "the world's first digital camera accessory and app combination designed to turn an iPhone 4 or iPhone 4S into a sophisticated point and shoot digital camera".

The entry-level foto.sosho C.4 costs £199 and includes a grip, flash module, three interchangeable lenses offering wide macro, fish-eye and clear glass effects and has a white and gold finish.

Moving up a step, the foto.sosho V.4 costs £299 with more vintage look, and bolsters the C.4's feature line-up with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. This connects to the phone via Bluetooth.

There are two more models designed for the iPhone 5 and due to lauch next year. The foto.sosho V.5 and L.5 feature keyboards and other p
hotography elements, but add something a little more special: a new 14-megapixel sensor and a 5x optical zoom lens. It is not yet clear how these will function, as the prototype V.5 at the lauch event was a non-working sample.

The cases are accompanied by a free app which enables the user to edit photos, use Instagram-style filters and share socially.
