Virgin and Swarovski for your sleep

 

In an attempt to draw the best of sleeping, Virgin Atlantic have collaborated with Swarovski to manufacture the wonderful sleep aid you can admire in the images below. For the passengers, this is supposedly the Most Expensive Night’s Sleep Ever™. Virgin Atlantic has decided to manufacture 5 limited editions, each one worth £2,500.

 The five eyeshades feature designs from the classic Wayfarer to the iconic shutter shade that pops up in Kanye West clips. They were intricately manufactured by designer Saima Anwar, with literally thousands of small white, blue and red crystals, taking roughly around 10 hours of work. Every model sports a total of 3,000 Swarovski elements.
In addition, a bit of mystery is added to the story, as the eyeshades will be hidden during flights. Five lucky customers will be given the chance to open their amenity kits and be staggered at the glimpse of these superb creations.

Cheval Three Quays Marks Remembrance Day with a donation to the British Legion

Crowds gather to witness the nightly ceremony at the Tower of London. To mark the centenary of the end of the First World War, Cheval Three Quays has pledged to donate a week’s profits from two of its apartments facing the Tower of London to the Royal British Legion charitable fund. The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support for the Armed Forces community – serving men and women, veterans and their families. Many of the building’s apartments face directly onto the 1,000 year-old castle, offering a unique perspective of the moving tribute taking place until the 11 th  November, as 10,000 flames are lit in the moat on a nightly basis. The installation, entitled ‘Beyond the Deepening Shadow: The Tower Remembers’, is intended to honour the sacrifice of the many who fell during the four-year conflict.
