Cheval Hyde Park Gate is near Saatchi Gallery

Have you ever wondered how the birkin bags take their form? Or maybe how the beautiful Hermès scarfs end up with those amazing prints? If you're in London next week this might be your chance to find out.

From the May 21 to 27,  the Hermès' Festival des Métiers exhibition will bring the iconic French fashion house's skilled artisans to London's Saatchi Gallery to allow the public to witness the creation of some of its most iconic pieces.

The fashion house's skilled artisans will come from their Paris workshop, where they will continue with their everyday tasks but in front of an audience. Visitors will be encouraged to interact with the craftspeople throughout the seven days in order to experience their unique savoir-faire first hand.

Admission to Festival des Métiers is free. 21 May – 27 May 2013, 10am – 6pm daily. More information in the Saatchi Gallery website.
