The Hampton Court Palace , the most important residence of Henry VIII during his reign , was built in the middle of a park on a bend of the River Thames . Surrounding the Palace are over 25,000 square meters of gardens , including the beautiful Privvy Gardens that follows symmetrical patterns , similar to the classical French gardens . But the gardens are the Tiltyard , Wilderness and the gardens of the twentieth century that are especially beautiful in the fall.

The Royal Botanic Garden - Kew Gardens. It's hard to pick a time that Kew Gardens become more beautiful. They even earned the title of one of the World Heritage Sites. When the landscape is painted in autumnal colors, it is to die for !
Besides visiting the gardens , this fall the "Plants and Fungi" in Kew prepared several activities to celebrate UK Fungus Day . Among them is a show going on in the area known as Broadwalk, giant sculptures of seven species of edible mushrooms made especially for the occasion by sculptor Tom Hare . The sculptures will be on display until Nov. 3 and are very interesting .
Opening hours : daily from 9:30 to 17:30 ( until 27 October) and 9:30 to 15:45 ( from 28/10 to 7/ 02 ) . Closed on 24 and 25 December.

Royal Parks in central London - Hyde Park , Kensington Gardens, St James 's Park , Green Park and Regent 's Park - is also possible to enjoy the autumn scenery . Notice how are well maintained , even with all the falling leafs! If you have to choose one among them , choose the Regent 's Park.
